Description

A blend of Cabernet and Shiraz after open fermentation, basket pressing and ageing in old casks in the family winery.
  • Estate grown from Rusden’s vineyards in Vine Vale Eastern Barossa Valley Floor
  • Shiraz 80% / Cabernet 20%, hand-picked fruit
  • Small batch fermentation in open fermenters
  • Oak treatment: 18 months seasoned French and American Oak
  • Soil: Deep sand over red clay

Tasting Notes

Rich bouquet shows potpourri, some herbals with blackberry, plum and currents. The palate is lively and fresh with currants, plums and faint herbal tones from the Cabernet. Soft tannins give way to a fresh, vibrant finish. Hard to stop at just one glass!
